A visual interpretation and journey through the upper layers of hell where reality and an eternal inferno merge and flow into each other.
The viewer finds themselves falling into an abyss where time has no purpose, what is seen defies reality and the constraints we live in.
This piece is an exploration of colour, tone, texture and digital artifacts trying to evoke feelings and thoughts of what hell might look, sound and feel like. Overlaying and compositing images and giving very little consideration to conventional editing and narrative techniques.
A short transition from light and life into darkness and despair. Patterns, textures and sounds from hell. Reality distorting and dimensions blurring. Dark and strong reds or harsh blues infect everything seen, the texture and colour of some kind of never ending nightmare.
Looking at and assembling images thinking of them as an imaginary place presented on a 2 dimensional surface, as if they are different parts of hell. A kind of journey and interpretation through the several upper layers that bleed into our dimension and time.
As if the viewer is falling deeper and becomes overwhelmed with torment and terror, but really only getting glimpses, feelings and thoughts of what is to come.
Appearing like one continuous conscious experience, with a slow jolt back to life the viewer finds themselves altered, but back where they begun.
